![]() ![]() Mesmer is a tricky mage, creating clones and phantasms and posses a lot of real utility skills like portals, teleport etc. Later can become scrapper, brawler with superspeed and support, holosmith that's an universal dps and special holoforge combat mode, or mechanics that have a powerful mech. It has more health than thief so I consider it easier to play. Can use bundle skill weapons to make up for lack of weapons. Hard to describe this class really, but it has an access to extra 5 skills depending on utility skills so it tries to be versatile with plenty of tricks. Later can become dragonhunter that sets traps and focuses on power dps, firebrand that use magical tomes and focuses on condi and heal/support or willbender that plays like a magical ninja, very mobile dps that can also do some support.Įngineer. Uses passive auras that can be sacrificed for one stronger ability. Kinda like paladin but with a very low health pool making it harder to play that warrior. Later can become reaper focused on power aoe melee combat but have slightly reduced tankiness, scourge that looses shrouds but instead can share barriers with the team and focuses on aoe condi, or harbinger that actually looses its health maximum pool to be a powerful and mobile condi dps or even boon support. Can have minions and as ability can enter shroud mode gaining second health bar and new skills. Necromancer: the toughest class in the game mostly focusing on condi damage. Can become druid, specialised healer but not much of a fighter, soulbeast that can merge with pet (fighting solo) gaining stats and skills or untamed that can greatly enhance pet abilities and gains crowd control proficiency. Ranger: easy class with a permanent pet, good health points and good weapon variety. Can be Berserker focusing on condi, spellbreaker disenchants and always can block all attacks or bladesworn focused on power dps. Can use burst skills if you charge adrenaline in combat. Warrior: initially a low complexity class with a plenty of weapons to choose from with a splash of supportive skills. Also, higher difficulty of the class doesn't mean that it's better than easier so don't get discouraged by "simple classes". Also there is no magic/physical or elemental damage like you see in other games but direct (power) and damage over time (condi). Also all classes can be ranged or meele, power or condi, heal or tank (more or less). Also, because you are lvl 16, you didn't even unlocked core specializations that modify your class. Later in the game, elite specializations change a lot of core initial class feel. Latest patch Dev tracker Guild Wars 2 Discordįirst of all, all classes can be anything.
